Sherri, Bonnie and Kristin....chances are you may NEVER get Uverse. About half the time, Uverse is a joke. I live in an ATT serviced community and I am bombarded with 3rd party sales people at my door regularly. Only problem is that Uverse over twisted pair can only work for 3000 feet from the head end box. ATT(formerly SBC)laid out rediculously long cables with encapsulated residential connections. My neighbor across the street can get Uverse but I can't, and we're on the same cable. Oh and by the way, don't let those pesky 3rd party sales people tell you it is fiber optic service because it is only f/o to the neighborhood and then it goes on your twisted pair to your house, and that is only if you live within the first 3000 feet of the f/o to Tw/Pr translator.

I am tired of educating their stupid sales people about what ATT can and can not do and I know because the techs have been out here, tried to connect and told me that I am SOL! (ATT calls it Denial of Service) Sadly they can't even upgrade my lousy 3meg DSL because I am too far down the cable. However that doesn't stop their lousy sales pitch every time I call them about something.

Just installed 10meg service from Time Warner and will be adding a 3rd party VOIP telephone service, dumping ATT altogether and cutting my telephone/internet bill in half!

U-verse service is dependent on being within a certain proximity to a VRAD box. So far as I can tell, there are only 2 VRAD boxes in Detroit. One on the east side, the other on the north side (Near 7 and Oakman). I live 10 blocks from Comerica Park and I still can't get U-verse. Talk about missed opportunities...

I would like to know when U-VERSE will be in my zip code in KY. I have been waiting and no one at AT can tell me when I may expect it, not months, years, or anything! I have heard from Best Buy, (go figure) that service is downtown and the east end, but someone at the phone company cannot tell you anything.

I live in Senatobia, MS and feel like I live in a lost world. My house is wired for telephone, but never have had a house phone, we use our ATT cell phones. Comcast will not talk to us even though the house 1 mile down the road has cable. Our only options Are Dish and Direct. We have had both and hate both - currently stuck with Direct. I am required to work from home and have to use my ATT Lightning aircard which is not very good. U-verse would solve all my problems. I called and was told not available. You are totally missing the market that needs and would use you the most - those of us in rural areas, or areas that are considered rural. We live 25 miles from Memphis, TN. Why can't we get this much needed service?

What sucks for me is that I live in rural Missouri and have no access to DSL, cable, fiber optic, wireless... basically only to choices, satellite which has those stupid Fair Access Policies which pretty much keep me away from xbox live, hulu, Netflix, ITunes and anything else fun and goes out in rain or dial up which you can't do anything on anymore. ATT if you are reading this please deploy U Verse to me.

Why isn't UVerse available for all ATT customers. UVerse in Detroit since 2008. It's almost 2010 and UVerse not available for me. Go Figure! Why should I remain an ATT customer? I have both landline and wireless. Is it my zip code? I wonder!
