I just ordered the Uverse and found out my fax machine doesnt work with it. I called AT&T and they told me to call some "Connect" people who will charge to take a look at my machine, that SUCKS!!!. Shouldnt ATT checked that before they leave?

I had ATT-Uverse for 3-4 years packgage deal and it beat Verizon hands down. It cost about $40 less and I could record 4 programs at a time plus watch another one. Verizon cost me $15 per month and I can only record 1 show and look at one other. I sure miss ATT-Uverse.

Can the Belkin router and the new ATT router (gateway) be bridged so I can get to the internet for Roku-anyone have any idea?

I have installed Uverse high speed internet and it has worked really well. I did make a few calls to tech support during my self installation and my questions were mostly answered. It is a bit of a chore to get your email, Outlook and Outlook express working but all the info needed is found on their Uverse support website. I have been pleased so far. It's only been a couple of weeks and I will be installing Voice tomorrow night. It looks simple enough.

Their tech support policies suck. They DO NOT Support free tech support for MS Outlook, Outlook Express etc.
They say that it’s beyond their tech support and will ONLY PROIVIDE Support for a charge.
I received AT & T U Verse service about 5 - 6 hours ago and attempted to send an email out and found out that AT & T did not support other email servers.
When I called them I was told they do not have the tools to support me and can transfer my call to advanced tech support who would charge me for the support.
I went on the internet and found that the out going server port needed to be changed from 25 to 465. This Solved the problem. I will never recommend U verse to anyone I know

I have the very same issue as you have but I called about it and was kind of shocked at the answer I received. I was told that the maximum amount of instances that can be running at a given time is 4. An instance is catagoried as a box or a recoriding that is running concurently, so if you have 3 users in seperate rooms watchng the TV and you have 4 recordings happening at the same time that will equal to you attempting to run 7 instances (the 3 boxes and the 4 recordings) which exceeds the 4 instance max that you can run concurrently. I have 8 different boxes in my home but only 4 of them can be viewing a different channel at the same time, after 4 the other users have to watch whatever is being watched in any of the other rooms. This really defeats my purpose of paying for 8 boxes. Hope this helps.

I enjoy the service, except for the occasional {freeze-frame}, which can be resolved usually after switching to different channels for a while.

Now, since the Friday after Thanksgiving, I have a new problem. One that I have been unable to resolve. I noticed it on Friday around 2:00 A.M.(Nov. 26, 2010). As of Sunday, 7:12 A.M., (Nov. 28, 2010), it is unresolved.

Does anybody know about how to resolve this situation? My favorite feature other than Caller ID History, is the ability to record 4 channels simultaneously. Perhaps, I have overused this feature, because usually if I have a CONFLICT in recording, I can easily resolve it by de-selecting one of the channels. But since the day after Thanksgiving, I call it (Tiger Woods Day), the system keeps displaying...unable to watch live tv because of another tv. Now, I had only one tv turned on, so I knew that is a lie. When I scroll to "live tv," it tells me either to select a recording or try again later, and I am not even recording anything. When I scroll over I notice that the red dot that indicates a recording in progress is on, but I am not recording that channel which in this case is a science channel, and it only airs 8:00 am.

Is this thing stuck in "recording mode?" I am unable to watch live tv, and that is a bummer. I however can watch any recording that is already accomplished as of 2:00 A.M., Friday, Nov. 26, but all the live tv since has been blacked out? Can anyone help me? I have tried resetting by keynoting in codes such as 900, 902, 966, and others designed for my tv to no avail?

I am in the Atlanta, Ga.area and have enjoyed AT&T U-Verse for about 5 or 6 months, and this is the first time this has occurred.

Any advice would be strongly appreciated.

I have AT&T Uverse since May this year. All works fine. I measure the Internet speed here http://www.att-services.net/tools/ every some time to compare and that looks good so far, too. I guess the quality of service really depends on your location and number of households attached to the pipe. Yeah, there are a number of factors playing the role.
