Here's my 2 cents.I'ts more expensive than cable.I have trio bundles on both.Limited space for recording.I have the extreme package,so most recording are HD.Always ended deleting shows I have not watch to accomodate coming shows. Can't add external hard drive.Set top boxes are connected to coax cable. It's not fiber all the way!!!!.The integrated modem router they use is "G",no N draft. It's useless for me cuz a have 2 story house.Ended connecting to my N router, therefore my computer can't connect so,I can't see what's on my network. With all of the above,I still am happy with the service.Better than satellite & Time Warner.Never had interuptions on my internet, unlike Time Warner.

I'm trying to connect two TV's to one STB (I know both will have to watch the same channel). I have a coax connected to the RF input on my box.

for one TV I then hooked up an HDMI cable and plugged it into the TV and I'm good.

Then I took another coaxial cable, connected it to the RF output on my STB and hooked the other end directly into the other TV. i'm not getting anything on my 2nd tv.
my question, is the fios STB capable of outputting two signals at the same time. meaning I'm using the HDMI output for one TV and the RF coaxial output for the 2nd tv.

is there another way to do this that I'm missing?

PIP dilema. I have Fios with a QIP 7216 DVR and a Samsung LN52A750R1FXZA LDC tv purchased in 2009. Is this the worst possible combination for getting PIP ? Any wiring miracles available ? When we switched from Dish in early 2009 to Fios for service bundling reasons,I asked a Fios rep if they had PIP, they said yes - Don't believe them.

Jacob static IP is avail, call the sales department for info, Casey just call in, tech support can push a activation without the activation code, there is a serial number on the bottom of the the set top box that starts with a M thats all you need. Mike go into the set top box menu then settings then video and change SD override to 480p then you can be the guy saying HD what, all my channels look better than yours. If you are having another issue write back I just found this site and have a very extensive knowledge of FIOS.

I am on my second go round with FIOS. I moved to an area where it was not available and now I am back.

I still have my HDDVR 6416 and I found on the Verizon website where to go to activate your own box if you chose to buy your own, so that alone tells me that it is not a requirement to use their rental box. The problem though is that each of these boxes has an activation code that is on the paperwork that comes with the box when it is new. Well, I am not going to be finding that paper. That was four years ago. Does anyone know how to find out what the activation cod is for a box. Surely, Motorola or verizon has these codes listed somewhere by S/N. What do they do if if they have to relocate a system and the owner did not keep that piece of paper?

Verizon has innformation on their site that states that cablecards are supported.

ALSO, is Verizon offering a static IP option or just plain and simple DHCP/PPPoE

FIOS Internet seems marginally faster than my earlier Verizon DSL, the FIOS TV is also MARGINALLY better than my previous COX cable service. The one thing that is definitely worse is the FIOS telephone service. Not that it doesn't work, but it is certainly not better than the standard copper wire variety. What Verizon doesn't tell you up front is that YOU have to buy the backup batter yourself when it dies (and it will) and install it yourself.

I would really and truly prefer to have a self-powered, copper telephone line and will forcefully try to have one installed, despite Verizon's objections. The fiber optic telephone service ranks among the stupidest (from the consumer's point of view) options available.

Have had Fios phone and internet for years. No problems.
Added tv as a triple bundle recently.
Problem: Since adding the fios tv my internet speed is much slower than before adding tv. Any suggestions?

I notice that most questions on here now go unanswered, in the past there was usually someone who could help.

Thanks.

Philippe - I have all of my devices in a closet, which is in another room and behind my tv wall. I have a 'Universal Remote' (brand) RF remote that works well. However, this requires an AV pro / consultant to A) buy it for you and B) set it up, as it's complicated initially, but easy to use afterward, and great to have ONE remote for HDTV, Directv, Pioneer receiver, DVD, and Apple TV. I'd give the hand-held unit a grade of 75-80, and the overall performance an 80-85. I'm gonna check out Duane's suggestion at Amazon, as that sounds cool, it works...
