Verizon has just extended a very popular deal that offers a free 19″ LCD HDTV to customers when they sign up for a FiOS Triple Play package. I’ve read the fine print and this is how it breaks down:
The free TV deal has really stirred the bundle world. This is probably one of the best offers ever by a phone/internet/tv provider. In addition to the free tv, people should also consider the bundle discount that Verizon is offering with this deal. Granted, regular prices will resume after the two-year agreement expires, but for two years, that is considerable savings. An average FiOS Triple Play bundle will receive a $37.98 monthly discount. Over two years that equates to over $900 in savings.
By the way if anyone is interested in this deal, I would recommend ordering online. The online process will show you the deals you qualify for and allows you to select any additional services desired. As an added bonus, you also get the first month of FiOS Internet for free when you order online.

4First of all, what they price for the bundle and what you pay are very different. I was quote $152 and actually pay 220.00 The tv offer has been far from easy as stated by you and the author above. I orderd in January and they did install on the day promised in mid February. The letter never came. In late March I called and after being transferred around several times they finally told me I needed to log in an accept service and then it would trigger letter offer. I did with their help and the letter finally came in late May and I logged in and selected the TV and a few weeks later I got their cheap, cheap video camera in the mail. After several calls and being passed around numerous times, they told me to send back by UPS as it was a computer glich, but when I got to UPS,they were like yeah, right where is return sheet. So that has been a whole hassel and I still don’t have it. Please be aware…this is not a good deal. I wish I had my cox cable back and my yard had not been destroyed by verizon. It is now almost July and I still don’t have the TV and even if I do get it, the last conversation was “oh you will get it in 6-8 weeks from return of video camera. It is a joke-folks.
